得ない：〜できない / 〜する可能性がない：to not be able to do / to not have the possibility of doing

●備考
①「得る」は「える」と「うる」の２通りの読み方がある。
“得る” has two possible readings: “える” and “うる”.

②　能力としてできる・できないと言うときは使えない。（例：漢字が書け得る）
It cannot be used to express ability or inability as a capability. (Example: Being able to write kanji)

給料は上がらないし、仕事はハードだし、このままだと退職して海外で暮らすなんてこともあり得るね。
